Which the Gif4J license(s) do I need?
At first please review the how is the Gif4J PRO licensed? and how is the Gif4J LIGHT licensed? questions.
To obtain the full version of the Gif4J PRO or Gif4J LIGHT and start developing with it,
you need to purchase one or more development licenses.
If you want to use the Gif4J PRO or Gif4J LIGHT on a server, you need to purchase one or more JVM Runtime Licenses.
To detect the required quantity of JVM Runtime Licenses you usually just need to count the
number of web application containers (for example, Tomcat instances) where you Gif4J-based web applications are deployed to.
If you want to use the Gif4J PRO in end-user stand-alone (desktop) applications on a client machine or in applets, you need to purchase the required quantity of JVM Runtime Licenses
(one per single installation) or purchase Unlimited Runtime (OEM) License. Gif4J LIGHT allows you to royalty-free distribute such applications.
If you want to use the Gif4J PRO or Gif4J LIGHT as a component in one of your "middleware" product
(see Middleware question), you need to purchase Middleware License.
